One TAKT Time for two processes, one unit hookup to perform Evacuation and Refrigerant Charging. The ECIMOS methodology eliminates the need for pre-evacuation pumps like the maintenance-intensive evacuation pump carousel. The units are first evacuated to lower the pressure where ambient temperature facilitates moisture removal by rapid vaporization. This is done for as long as the TAKT time allows. Then a moisture removal check is performed by verifying the unit pressure rise, during a timed period, is minimal. Then the unit is automatically charged with refrigerant- all in one hook-up. The computer-based system is TAKT time centric.
