Operation:

When your refrigerant supplier delivers refrigerant to your facility, the truck driver (or a designee) is prompted to log into PR-Account’s computer terminal. The driver is prompted to enter the amount of refrigerant to be delivered to the storage system. The entered amount is cross-referenced to the amount purchased. Using a flow meter, the refrigerant is monitored as it is delivered into the storage tank.

Refrigerant use is also monitored throughout the plant by assembly line. Usage for each line is cross-referenced with the amount charged by ECI’s VacuCharge™ machines. If the two amounts are not within a customer-determined range (e.g., 3%), a leak is suspected to exist between that flowmeter and the VacuCharge machine(s). This specified range allows the system to take into account any residual refrigerant that is reclaimed after charging.

By using the date/time recorded for refrigerant charge, PR-Account will determine if the discrepancy is due to manual charging and automatically consider this when making the calculation. If multiple VacuCharge machines are used on one assembly line, PR-Account will automatically calculate the usage for each machine and provide a grand total. This grand total is compared to the amount of refrigerant sent to the assembly line.

A flow meter measures the amount of reclaimed refrigerant that is transferred from the reclamation system back into the delivery system.

Knowing the amount of refrigerant supplied to the storage tank, the amount used per assembly line, and the amount reclaimed allows complete refrigerant accountability.
